Clayotic is Educational

The art elements are colour, line, shape, form, pattern and texture. The maker embraces some or all of these elements when using Clayotic.
Colour: Clayotic comes in 12 intermixable colours and one foamy texture.
Shape and form: Each model comprises of at least 3 basic shapes the ball, droplet and line. Clayotic encourages the maker to think in 3 dimensional form.
Pattern and texture: In order to enhance the finish of the model the maker is encouraged to explore the elements of pattern and texture by using different tools and decorative effects.

Therapeutic: Clayotic is extremely soft to the touch the user is compelled to stretch it, squeeze it manipulate it thereby enhancing hand muscles. The clay is also pleasantly scented which also adds to therapeutic element.
Co-ordination: Determining where to place the various details on a Clayotic model encourages and improves hand eye co-ordination.
Awareness of dimensions: When making models the largest part is constructed initially gradually working down to the finest minutes of details.

Since Clayotic is air-drying it is very suitable for use in the clay-modelling exam on both the Junior and Leaving Certificate Craft paper. The wide spectrum of colours and the intermixable quality offers an appealing alternative to the terracotta and buff clay currently available.
